Meet the Founder
Meet the Founder of DNA:
Chelsea Herlocker is the current head coach at Belmont Abbey College. Herlocker was previously the associate head field hockey coach at Ball State University for four seasons.
She started playing field hockey in fourth grade and has not looked back. She grew up in New Jersey where there is a hot-bed of field hockey.
From 2009-2012 she had the privilege of representing Team USA on the Junior National Team. In 2010, the U18 USA team traveled to Argentina, where they played against top talent. She had the opportunity during these years to train at the Olympic Training center in Chula Vista, California. Along with this training, she trained with the High Performance New Jersey Team from 2009-2011.
In 2014 she graduated from the University of Richmond with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. During her 4-year career she started in all 84 games and was the team Captain in 2012 and 2013. Below are a list of her accolades during her college career:
· A-10 First Team All-Conference 2011, 2012, 2013
· NFHCA All-South Region 2011, 2013
· VaSID First Team All-State 2011
· A-10 Champions and NCAA Sweet Sixteen 2011
· A-10 Championship All-Tournament Team 2011 & 2013
· A-10 Rookie of the Year, All-Rookie Team, and Second Team All-Conference 2010
In December 2018, she received her Master’s degree in Youth Development. She is currently Level II certified through USA field hockey and member of the NFHCA. Chelsea, her husband David Herlocker, and son, Jackson Thomas currently live in Charlotte, NC.
